I stayed up super late last night and made some huge progress on Heidi's doll for baby Peter. It's not perfect by any means, but it is my first doll, so I'm happy. :)
Wednesday we went to a free showing of a Veggie Tales movie at a local theatre. Amelia "won" a DVD for having a birthday that week, and it was a fun time. We ate lunch in the food court afterwards, and on the way out this older man called me over to his table and handed me a bright envelope that said, "SMILE!" on it. I thanked him warmly and went to my car. I was admittedly skeptical, but when I opened it, this was inside:
With $5 also! It was so sweet. I am still brainstorming on how to pay it forward, but it was so sweet and I felt bad that I was skeptical about what the contents would be.
We are looking at a rental this weekend!

Donovan is 8 years old. He needs a momma badly. Are you his family? Look at how precious he is. :(
Happy weekend!!

DeleteLOL! I was going to say something about the moral requirement too. :P
ReplyDeleteCool that she "won" a video!
Hubby just had a scope done last month. It isn't as bad as it sounds. Not fun, but not awful either.
I know the procedure isn't bad but putting y tiny baby to sleep scares me. The doctor said he wants her at least 18 lbs before they do it. I react so badly to anesthesia and it seems like Charlotte inherited a lot of the same problems I have, so I'm a little nervous.
DeleteUnderstandable. I was worried when he had it done and they didn't even put him under. They know what they're doing and what to watch for, especially if you tell them how you react to it. Will be praying for both of you!
DeletePrayers for Charlotte!
ReplyDeleteThanks JoAnna. :)
Delete"allergy disease" sounds like there's a gastric problem related to a food allergy or something. (i googled it and am giving you the not-scary news.) if she hasn't had the scratch test for allergies, it might not be a bad idea. (it also doesn't hurt -- i speak from personal experience.)
ReplyDeletehaving said all that, upper gi's are not pleasant and the barium liquid is nasty. my trick for getting it down is having someone hold my nose while i drink it so i don't have to taste it. it sounds weird, but it works.
Thanks Jen. I know it won't be fun. I'm not sure how they're gonna get her to drink that stuff. She's only 13 mos.
DeleteI'm sure we will see an allergist if the rest of this continues.
You know she can still be intolerant and it not show as an "allergy".....
ReplyDeleteFor instance, my gluten and dairy intolerance are not an allergy but cause me issues.
Mainstream hasn't caught up yet....
You can google importance of gut flora. It won't scare you but you will learn a lot. All diseases begin in the gut.
I can give you help after your appointment and results if nothing shows up. ;)-
If they out her on a probiotic-email me or text me ;). I can hook you up with a cheap way to probiotics ;)
I'll keep you posted Nicole. This could be something that needs to be fixed with surgery, not diet.
DeleteYou know, maybe it's a hiatal hernia. I know she's kinda little to have one but that could be it. Hubby found out he has one. And if she has bad reflux that could be it. I really hope that is all it is because that's not too bad to have fixed.
DeleteHey, was that moral jobs a jab at me?
ReplyDeleteHehehe! Just messing around. :)
