7 Quick Takes Friday

--- 1 ---

RIP Steve Jobs. Definitely a brilliant man. I'm not sure how I'd function as a parent without my iPhone. I use it for everything. It has helped me, the most disorganized person ever, organize a bit. So sad.

Happy fact: Steve Jobs was adopted. His birth mom was an unwed college student when she got pregnant. Many women today would abort under those circumstances. Whether you like Apple products or not is not the point. No one can deny he was a brilliant man and the world would not have been the same without him.

Here's a happy and hilarious blog post from Bad Catholic to cheer you up.

I used to have a boyfriend that would never bother to try to open a door for me and would even walk in ahead and let the door slam on me. I left him at a restaurant after he did that to me once and didn't pick him up until much later. That relationship didn't go so well... ;)

As awkward as it can be, women do appreciate the gesture.

We are finally getting a reprieve from the triple digit temperatures. I am so happy I'm almost giddy. I don't care that the temperature change always gives me a headache. I'll take it. I love having the windows open and the AC off! Too bad it'll be back in the 90s next week.

In case you missed it (I speak as though I have a ton of readers, haha!) Kyle joined the RCIA! I'm so excited, still. Not only excited, but thrilled, proud, thankful, and many other wonderful emotions!! Praise be to God, we are finally all on the right path!

I'm sorry, but this video is just too funny. I know my sense of humor is a bit dry, but man, this cracked me up.

A reminder for Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Komen Gave 569k to Planned Parenthood in 2010 NOT ONE Planned Parenthood does mammograms, which is what they claim this money is for. And since the BC pill is a carcinogen, I'm not exactly sure why people don't understand how utterly wrong this is.

I still need to get down to the abortion clinic to pray for the 40 Days for Life campaign. I'll probably have to go on Wednesdays. It still makes me a little nervous but I really want to help.

  1. "The Guy on a Buffalo" is the weirdest thing I've seen lately. Is that part of a series?
